Vega One Nutritional Shake is one of the more popular green shakes around. But as I learned in High School, being popular isn’t always the most important thing when it comes to dating pretty girls. Eventually, the pretty girls start liking the loser guys. I know this from a “friend.”
I will spare you the extended digression, however, and get right to Vega One All in One Nutritional Shake’s review.
Let’s have a look at the inner workings, shall we?
Product Name: Vega One Nutritional Shake
Company Name: Vega
Product Description: Greens protein drink powder
SUPERFOODS – VEGA ONE NUTRITIONAL SHAKE REVIEW
Vega One seems like a great product at first glance. A popular and respected brand, it can serve as meal replacement, and the bottle is pretty. Each serving size is 42 grams, which is great, however, you can find that similar serving sizes and better value in Kylea’s TLD Greens and Shakeology. For reference, the value is compared against the competition and in this case, two other competitors beat Vega One.
Vega One Nutritional Shake reviews all agree (including this green protein drink review), that Vega One is the real deal. It’s a complete, high-quality meal replacement shake that offers high potency nutrition and quality protein. When considering a shake for meal replacement, you need both of those items to be solid. In the case of Vega One Nutritional Shake, that’s the case.
The downside to Vega One is that it doesn’t fully disclose ingredient volume, In other words, you know what’s in Vega One, you just have no idea how much of each ingredient is in it. This hurts the value of the product because it is difficult to know if you are getting shorted in certain ingredients which might be really important to you. By comparison, Kylea’s TLD Greens tells you exactly how much of each ingredient is inside the product. I’m not a big fan of non-disclosure when it comes to something I am considering putting into my body.
Every serving comes with 20 grams of protein and six servings of greens, as well as 50% of one’s daily vitamin and mineral intake. That’s more than competent.

TASTE – VEGA ONE NUTRITIONAL SHAKE REVIEW
Vega One offers various flavors, such as Vanilla Chai, Chocolate, and Berry. They all taste pretty amazing. I’d say Vega One nails it for taste. The chocolate is very rich, so buyer beware if you don’t enjoy pure rich chocolate. This guy does. This guy very much does!
It would be difficult to not enjoy one of the flavor items. That said, they also have a plain version that I enjoyed as well. However, it should be noted, I am used to green drinks. Vega One has a lot more ingredients than just green superfoods, so you don’t taste the earthy flavor so much.
VALUE – VEGA ONE NUTRITIONAL SHAKE REVIEW
Vega One comes in with a poor score in terms of value. With only 19 servings per container, Vega One pales in comparison to its competitors which come closer to 30 servings per container.
That said, each serving is 42 grams. Factoring in the cost of Vega One, that equates to $3 per serving. That’s not bad at all. But the small container sizes will definitely have you buying at a more frequent pace, which should be considered before purchasing.
Additionally and as mentioned prior, your don’t completely know how much of each ingredient you are getting. Without that knowledge, it is difficult to fully evaluate the economics of this purchase.
PROS & CONS
- A fully loaded meal replacement experience
- Huge serving sizes
- Excellent value per serving
- No digestive enzymes
- The competition comes in as better buys
- Tiny containers
A name brand that consumers can trust, the product comes through in terms of quality and value. It would be better if the manufacturer, Vega One, would disclose the ingredient amounts on their labels so we could run a true test on their value.
There are too many competitors with better value, such as Kylea’s TLD Greens and Shakeology, but that doesn’t mean Vega One is a bad buy. You can’t go wrong with it. But you might also consider reading a few more Vega One Nutritional Shake reviews.
