SUPERFOODS – Tony Robbins Green Drink Review
Tony Robbins is a brilliant motivational teacher and a brilliant marketer. I’ve read his books and admire him for what he is.
Pure Energy Greens with MSM is a decent, mid-range superfood drink powder. It contains a total of seven superfoods: barley grass, wheat grass, alfalfa, broccoli, spinach, kelp and MSM (methyl-sufonyl-methane). These are all good superfoods and I appreciate that they are all organic. However, the potencies are lacking. An entire serving is just 2 grams.
You would need to take many servings per day to really enjoy a significant health impact and for the money, there are many better options in the marketplace. For example, Athletic Greens (best tasting green drinks) contains almost 9 grams of superfoods per serving.
SUPERFOODS SCORE: 4.3 out of 10
NUTRITIONAL PANEL
There’s really nothing to add here that I didn’t say in the Superfoods Panel. There’s only seven ingredients, it’s a proprietary blend so we don’t know how much of each ingredient is in the product, and it is very low potent. Only 2 grams per serving is a very small amount of superfoods.
I do like that there is MSM in the product. Methylsufonylmethane is a sulfur found in plants and is also naturally created by the body. It is excellent for joint health and connective tissue, supports cellular growth and even promotes natural energy.
PEG is not going to harm anyone but with so little ingredients, even with the MSM, it’s certainly nowhere near the nutritional powerhouse of products like the Total Living Drink Greens or Shakeology or even Athletic Greens or Living Fuel Super Greens.
NUTRITIONAL PANEL SCORE: 5.5 out of 10
TASTE
PEG tastes like grass and has a little bitterness to it probably from the MSM. I’ve been taking grassy, swampy, superfood drinks for so many years, I’ve grown to love the earthy flavor and the grainy texture. I have no problem with the taste of Tony Robbins’ green drink. Many people will, so like I’ve said many times before, try mixing it with fruit juices and fresh fruits and make a health smoothie.
TASTE SCORE: 6.5 out of 10
VALUE
The value of PEG is a little lacking in my opinion. It is a little over-priced for what’s in it. It is a marketing-driven product and I simply think there are better value options out there.
Each serving of PEG is 2 grams and it’s $69.99 for 140 servings, or $.50 per serving. Compare that to some of the other superfood drinks that I’ve reviewed on this site and you would need to take 20 servings of PEG to equal one serving of some of the top-reviewed products such as the Total Living Drink Greens. If you don’t want a full meal-replacement drink try Patriot Power Greens or Athletic Greens.
VALUE SCORE: 4.1 out of 10
PROS & CONS
Pros:
- Decent ingredients that are organic
- MSM is a powerhouse nutrient with awesome benefits
Cons:
- Very low potencies of superfoods
- Does not contain a lot of ingredients (7 total)
- It is very expensive for what you are actually getting
SUMMARY
I’m a big fan of Tony Robbins. I’ve read his books and I’ve applied a lot of principals to my life and career. However, Pure Energy Greens with MSM is not a superfood drink product that I would recommend. It is low-potent, overly simple and for the money, there are just a lot of better products in the marketplace.
I tend to avoid health-related products from professional marketing people. Like Kevin Trudeau or Don Lapre and yes, Tony Robbins. They are marketers and want to cash in on the behemoth health and wellness industry. They create products to meet a market demand and they make piles of money. But they are not as genuine as the companies and people that are truly passionate about alternative health and create products that mirror their healthy convictions.
I believe you can find better alternatives than Pure Energy Greens with MSM.

The thing you need to understand is, and I’m sure you know all about it if you have read his books, is that his thinking is all towards ALKALINE.
Some of these other products you refer to have many acid properties. If someone wants to have an alkaline-only diet then this is the perfect product, you failed to mention that and made it sound like it’s no good at all. He’s targeting those who want to improve their health and have more energy and don’t want to have the acids in their diet.
I’m a big fan of Tony Robbins too. Thanks for sharing this information.
It’s actually a cool and helpful piece of info.
I am happy that you shared this useful info with us.
Please stay us informed like this. Thank you for

Tony Robbins is a scam artist. He has succeeded in ripping people off for 20 years. He has no success in career, marriage or personal life or business. Now he is endorsing snakeoil. He is the Mike Murphy of the motivational speaker crowd.
Hi George,
We appreciate your honest comment. Let’s be clear… Tony Robbins’ Pure Energy Greens with MSM, is not our favorite Green Drink by a long shot. But your comments extend beyond the scope of our review. Tony Robbins, in our humble opinion, has contributed a lot in the world of self-help and motivation and we don’t want to be guilty of “throwing the baby out with the bath-water” by attacking the man’s character. And, to address your comment that he has no success in business, Tony Robbins is worth $500 million. He must be doing something right. As I said in my review, Tony should stick to his day job because his day job is doing quite well.
Thanks again for your honest comment.

Hello admin,?
I stumbled upon your site after trying to review Athletic Greens and Purium. I just wanted to say, I appreciate and thank you for your website. I am an It Works distributor and I did not know much about the nutritional and overall quality of the product compared to others because I never took the time to learn about other Greens. I have had great results from It Works Greens but I am considering other products now as I have learned much more about comparing Greens from your website.
Also I would like to commend you for your ethics, honesty, and quality that you add to all your responses. I appreciate how you responded about Tony Robbins and his character and made it separate from his Greens and your honesty about your affiliations with some of the companies listed.
Tony Robbins has made a tremendous impact on me and so many people from all walks of life. I also feel that you have added so much value by helping us make sound decisions about what we purchase. Most people, including myself have not taken the time to research or make critical thinking decisions because of our demanding schedules and lives. However, just taking some time aside to review and read from your website, I can say that I gained some insights and learned a great deal about how and what to compare when choosing Greens.
Even reading other’s responses also added more understanding and even challenged me to use my critical thinking that we often forget to implement.
Thank you again for your services!?❤️
Hi Jean,
Thank you so much for the kind words. It’s comments like yours that we need to hear occasionally because this site is a lot of work. And, me personally, am a huge fan of Tony. I’ve read all his books. (Ok, most of them.) He’s been a big inspiration. His green drink isn’t going to hurt anyone but in our opinion, there’s just better values in the marketplace.
I just started taking pure energy greens a few days ago and so far love it. It’s the first green drink I’ve tried and chose it because of it’s limited ingredients. I’m allergic to papain (papaya extract) that so many green drinks (including shakeology that I tried), that I cannot use them. I called TonyRobbins.com before I ordered to make sure it doesn’t contain it and it does not so no issues with allergic reactions. I don’t care for the flavor (I am not a veggie eater so hate broccoli and most other green foods though), but can chug it down twice a day without too much problems. I have noticed a great deal more energy, especially when I have my second glass around 3pm mid-afternoon slump time and it gives me a big boost. So far, very happy with it.
