Primal Greens by Primal Harvest is another green drink powder on the shelf of endless superfood drinks. Because Primal Greens has been getting a lot of attention in the supplement industry, I took the time to break down this green drink to see if it lives up to the hype. In this Primal Greens Review, I will go into detail on what this green drink is, how it could help you, and if it’s worth your money. Let’s jump right in.
At First Glance
Primal Harvest promotes Primal Greens as a superfood supplement designed to be an overall health solution, which according to their company, has 6 core benefits. The benefits include:
- Natural detox
- Boosts Energy with Vitamins and Minerals
- Supports Your Immune System with Chlorophyll
- Boosts Metabolism with added Green Tea
- Helps Concentration and Focus with added ingredients such as Reishi, Shiitake, and Maitake Mushrooms\
- Promotes Healthy Nails and Hair with added Amino Acids
I gotta say, these are some pretty serious claims. If this green drink has the ability to do all of these things, then it could live up to their claims of being the “ultimate green drink blend”.
Based on my initial glance at this superfood powder, I do have a few reservations based on what I can see from the label. I break this down further later in this review.
Who is Primal Harvest?
Primal Harvest is located in Brooklyn, New York, and has been on the trading market since 2018.
Primal Greens is only 1 of 7 different supplements that Primal Harvest manufacturers. These other supplements include Primal Probiotics, Primal Keto Collagen, Primal Omega-3, Primal Collagen, Primal Turmeric, and Primal Multivitamins.
All of these supplements are geared towards health friendly individuals, and stand behind the “Supplements over Pharmaceuticals” movement.
I will say, I really like the fact that all of their supplements go through rigorous testing in labs before and after they are bottled, and are certified through TGA, UL, or NSF.
This may be all good, but how effective is this product? Let’s go deeper into the ingredients used, and how they may help you to live a healthier lifestyle.
Primal Greens Ingredients
In each serving of Primal Greens, you are getting 8 grams of total nutrition. This is definitely a step up from many of the other green drink powders I’ve reviewed.
5 of those grams are superfoods, which is a pretty good amount, but here’s the issue…We don’t know exactly how much of each ingredient is in this product.
This product is made up of 4 different ‘proprietary blends’…
Superfood/Antioxidant/Mushroom Blend (5.0g)
This blend of the superfood powder consists of powerful fruits, vegetables, and mushrooms. All of these ingredients have their own special superpowers, helping you with brain function, blood pressure, energy levels, and boosting your immune system.
Nutrient Dense Natural Herbs and Extracts (2.2g)
This part of the supplement is responsible for helping your body detox. The added ingredient Korean Ginseng, is a natural anti-inflammatory, can help to boost brain function, and help to boost your immune system. This also has properties to help your body fight fatigue.
Digestive Complex (674mg)
Included in this blend are Inulin (Chicory Root) Apple Fiber, Fungal Protease, Lipase, Cellulase, and Glucoamylase. These ingredients are there to help your body digest foods in a more efficient way.
Probiotics Blend (3.5 Billion CFU’s)
Containing the ingredients L. acidophilus, L. rhamnosus, and B. Longum, the probiotics blend is perfect for helping ease digestion, makes sure that the microflora in your gut is balanced and healthy, and could even promote a healthy heart, and a healthy brain.
I can’t argue that the ingredients and blends could most certainly help you add some healthiness to your diet, but how effective this would be is still up in the air.
The fact that we don’t know exactly how much of each superfood ingredient is used, it’s difficult to say how much this will help your diet, especially if you plan to use this as a meal replacement, which I wouldn’t recommend.
Tasting Primal Greens
Though I haven’t personally tried Primal Greens, I got a good sense of how it tastes by reading a plethora of reviews online. Because Primal Greens uses Stevia extract, and a variety of tasty fruits, this product is naturally sweet.
Don’t get me wrong, you are still going to get that natural green drink taste, but due to natural sweeteners used, it tends to have a light, refreshing taste that most people seem to enjoy.
Cost of Primal Greens
Right now, on their website you can buy Primal Plants for $45 for a month’s supply. This isn’t bad for 8 grams of total nutrition. This broken down would equal about $1.50 per serving, which is quite a bit less than other comparable green drinks.
If you decide that this product is right for you, then we would recommend purchasing 3 or 6 tubs at a time. This provides you with a hefty discount if you plan to use this for months on end. For 3 tubs it equals out to be around $40 a piece. For 6 tubs, you could pay only $35 for each monthly supply.
Overall, Primal Greens has a pretty good value for a month’s supply. Even though Primal Greens doesn’t disclose any information on how much of each ingredient is used, based on the nutritional label, this could be a product worth $45 to try for 30 days.
Primal Greens Customer Reviews
Before I try, or review any product, I like to search the internet for customer reviews. Primal Greens, believe it or not, doesn’t have a ton of customer reviews. Most of the reviews are found on their website, which can be a little biased.
I couldn’t even seem to find any reviews on Amazon, which is a little alarming. I even searched BBB, and couldn’t find any reviews, or complaints for this product. I’m not sure if this is a good thing…
Most of the reviews on their website look produced, saying that this green powder can help boost your energy throughout the day without any crash. Others exclaim how great the product tastes and they would recommend to anyone looking to add some healthiness to their diet.
Pros and Cons
It’s always smart to weigh the pros and cons before purchasing any product you plan to ingest. I scoured the internet and put together a short list of pros and cons for you to reference. Check it out below!
- Nice variety of Superfoods
- Good value at $1.50 per serving for 8 grams of nutrition
- Loaded with Probiotics
- High in Digestive Fiber
- No ingredient amounts listed
- The high amount of superfoods used dilutes each individual ingredient
- Has little to no reviews anywhere except their website
There is no doubt that the ingredients used in Primal Greens can have a positive effect on your health, but not knowing how much of each ingredient is used, tends to be an instant turn-off. I will say, I love the blends that they use, and the ingredients incorporated, but to say that this will have a significant effect on your health is tough to say.
The price of Primal Greens is definitely one of the better values for superfoods in the same class. At $1.50 a serving for 8 grams of nutrition is honorable.
If you are looking for a boost to your already healthy diet, then I would recommend giving Primal Plants a try for a month. Are you looking for something more powerful, and transparent? We would recommend Kylea Total Living Drink, which is packed with 40g of nutrition in each serving!
