Nested Naturals Super Greens Review
Nested Naturals Super Greens is a supplement perfect for those trying to get their daily nutrients without having to break the bank.
Like many of the other green drink powders, Nested Naturals can be mixed with water, in order for you to get those micronutrients easily.
The owners of Nested Naturals were in awe of the current state of the supplement industry. The lack of accountability and transparency is something we can all relate to in the supplement business.
Their answer was clear. Create a supplement product that would be filled with quality ingredients, all while being third party tested. This sounds awesome, but did they achieve their goal with Super Greens?
I am always looking for that green drink powder that can check off all the boxes, so I did my thing and decided to review Nested Natural Super Greens myself. Let’s take a closer look at this green drink powder below.
My First Impression
Nested Naturals has focused most of their energy into guiding and educating customers toward living a healthier more nutritious lifestyle.
Their approach to selling supplements is a little more ethical than other superfood companies, which use your typical hyperboles seen often in this industry.
Bottom line, green drink powders are supposed to be taken in tandem with an already healthy diet, which should contain a variety of nutrients.
After diving deeper into this brand, I decided I would try this out, and write a comprehensive review of my personal take on Nested Naturals, and some of the concerns that I had.
About Nested Naturals
Nested Naturals has been in business since 2014, and are located in Vancouver, Canada. Nested Naturals takes pride in being in good standing with the BBB, but it’s tough to say how much this means, considering no one has complained about their company on the site. Chances are, Nested Naturals has a membership with the Better Business Bureau.
The owners and founders, Jeremy and Kevin, wanted to start a company that was transparent and honest to its customers. They decided to use globally-sourced ingredients, and also third party lab test every supplement they make.
I have to say, I absolutely love when supplement companies give back to the community. Nested Naturals has a strong relationship with Vitamin Angels, which is a company that supports women and children in countries all around the world, making sure they receive the proper daily nutrition.
The Ingredients in Super Greens
The very first thing I should point out when it comes to Nested Naturals ingredients, is that they are all non-GMO, vegan, and 100% organic, which is a good sign.
A tub of Super Greens has 30 servings containing 8 grams per scoop. I’m meticulous, so I counted the ingredients in each serving, which happens to be 32.
Many of the typical superfood ingredients are present such as Chlorella, Spirullina, Wheat Grass, and Barley.
You can also find probiotics present such as Bifidobacterium bifidum, Lactobacillus gasseri, and Bifidobacterium longum.
In addition to probiotics, there are also digestive enzymes in this blend such as Protease (NLT 402U), Amylase (NLT 1608U), Lipase (NLT 67U), Lactase (NLT 268U), and Cellulase.
Like many of the other superfood green drinks I’ve reviewed, the proprietary blends always seem to get to me. It’s a bit concerning to see all of the superfood ingredients spread throughout 5 different proprietary blends. You can take a closer look at each blend below.
As you can see, the blend contains a plethora of ingredients, but how much of each ingredient is still unknown. They do manage to put the amounts of Chlorella(400mg), and Spirulina (667mg), which I assume is the amount in each serving.
Tasting Nested Naturals Super Greens
If I’m going to be honest, the first time I tasted this product, it was a bit unpleasant. It has a very strong greens taste that I personally don’t enjoy. Many others who have voiced their opinion, mostly from Amazon, have seemed to agree.
I can’t complain too much, I do understand that with most superfood drinks, they tend to be chalky and grassy, so it’s really about personal preference.
Don’t get me wrong, mixing this with a flavorful smoothie, or adding ingredients to make the blend taste better is a viable option, just keep in mind when adding other ingredients, that the caloric intake can rise.
Nested Naturals Side Effects
If you are a regular user of superfood drinks, then I wouldn’t worry too much about the side effects.
If this is your first time using a green drink powder then you could experience mild stomach cramps or aches.
You could mostly blame this on the enzymes or probiotics in the Super Greens blend. These are usually temporary side effects, and will dissipate within a few days, maybe a week at most.
Does Nested Naturals Work?
In order to determine whether or not a green drink powder is going to work, you should consider two things, the types of ingredients, and their amounts.
For instance, the Alkalizing Blend has a total of 10 ingredients, which adds up to 3,847 milligrams. According to the FDA, the ingredients that are listed must be in order of highest quantity. In this blend, Barley grass is the majority.
Spirullina is the fourth ingredient in this blend, and as we all know, you should be getting one to eight grams per day, according to the data Examine gathered.
Am I confident in getting that dose in each serving? Not so much.
I could say the same for Barely, where we should be getting anywhere from 1 to 15 grams per day to see any significant effect.
If you do happen to get your minimum of 1 gram of Barley and Spirullina in this blend, that leaves almost 2,000 mg left for the other 8 ingredients.
I personally think this would be a good green powder to add to an already strong diet. You could use this as a way to get extra nutrients, but unrealistic to use as a meal replacement, considering the lack of ingredients in each serving.
Nested Naturals Money Back Guarantee
Purchasing Nested Naturals from their official site is probably the best way to take advantage of their lifetime guarantee.
That’s right, lifetime! If you decide the product isn’t right for you, you can contact their team and get a full refund, whether it’s two days, or two years.
I have to say, this is probably one of the better money back guarantees I’ve seen from a supplement company, let alone any company.
Is Nested Naturals Worth the Price?
To be honest, the prices for Nested Naturals are very reasonable compared to other companies in this market. Their prices range anywhere from $10 to $30 per supply.
If you are using this as something to top off your green intake for the day, then the value of Nested Naturals is great, and even better than some of the competitors for half the price.
Of course the amount of ingredients in each serving can pose a concern, and knowing the amounts would definitely be ideal, but if you already eat healthy, then this shouldn’t be a huge problem.
- Certified organic
- Includes grasses, algae, land and sea vegetables in the superfood section
- Contains antioxidants
- Contains Probiotics
- Contains Enzymes
- Incredible Value at .83 per serving
- Not a huge variety of superfoods
- Does not list how much of each ingredient is in the formula
After taking Nested Naturals, there are definitely a lot of things to like about this product. The low prices and their lifetime guarantee makes this a great product for those looking to get their daily greens without breaking the bank.
If you are looking for a green powder supplement that packs a powerful punch, then Nested Naturals may fall short. The reason being, the amount of ingredients in each serving may not be potent enough to have a noticeable effect.
Sure, you could take multiple servings a day, but I or Nested Naturals wouldn’t recommend it. Even though this Super Greens powder may not be the most vitalizing drink, I still love this company and what they stand for.
